In this position, you will perform skilled work in the monitoring and repair of high-pressure steam boilers, heating boilers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, and standby generators. You will test water samples, log test results, and maintain an inventory of water treatment chemicals. Additionally, you will train inmate workers in the practices, methods, and procedures of Plant Mechanic work by demonstration, explanation, and close supervision during work assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday.
- This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in performing skilled mechanical repair work involving heavy machines; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
