Adecco Search has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the Chattanooga, TN area to recruit and hire a senior-level Corporate Supplier Quality Engineer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing and overseeing projects related to Supplier Quality improvement, compliance, or risk mitigation.
Leading initiatives to enhance and maintain high-quality standards within the supply chain.
Partnering with manufacturing sites and procurement team for APQP and PPAP activities and assessing and qualifying potential suppliers.
Developing and implementing Supplier Quality processes and procedures.
Conducting audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Evaluating supplier performance and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Investigating and addressing non-conformance issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Monitoring and analyzing Supplier Quality metrics to drive improvement initiatives.
Conducting risk assessments for new and existing suppliers.
Providing technical guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and specifications.
Participating in the development and review of supplier contracts and agreements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
6+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of quality management systems, ERP systems, and other industry software.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100 or IATF 16949)
Knowledge of Six Sigma/LEAN tools (pFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, 5why, A3, Kaizen etc.)
Ability to travel 40-50% of the time
Ability to work on-site and remotely.
Certification in Quality Management or related field strongly preferred
