Corporate Relationship Senior Manager
Overview
The Corporate Relationship Senior Manager will primarily focus on institutional relationships, balancing a portfolio of complex, existing, and new corporate partners/donors. This Relationship Manager will develop and implement relationship strategies and collaborate with other departments to raise corporate support, steward corporate partners through a moves management process, and deepen connections to the mission of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Responsibilities
Maintain a portfolio of approximately 50-75 current and emerging Corporate Relationships that are multifaceted in nature and result in renewed, increased, and new corporate gifts
Leverage best practice research in corporate engagement strategies for portfolio relationships
Partner with other organizational colleagues to proactively identify additional engagement opportunities for key corporate partners, such as volunteering, tours, food drives, cause marketing, food donations, and other support
Organize and participate in corporate partner tours and site visits
Assist in implementing the organizations corporate recognition and engagement strategies
Collaborate with grant writer and Corporate Relations team members on grant submissions, and related presentations, proposals, and reports
Develop and steward collaborative relationships with other Corporate Relationship managers, including food bank connections, to drive best practices, share information, and target joint strategies, where appropriate
Track portfolio management activities in Raisers Edge
Participate in various special events (as needed) to advance the organizations philanthropic objectives
Qualifications
Qualifications
5-8 years of experience and demonstrated success in development, with a preferred emphasis on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate support
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships, take initiative, set priorities, and manage multiple relationships
Strong communications, presentations, and interpersonal skills a must
Commitment to the organizational mission with a working knowledge of poverty-related issues and a thoughtfulness to the impact of hunger on Cook County
A nimble, collaborative team player with the ability to navigate dynamic work environments and thrive in a fast paced environment
Advanced computer skills including experience with Microsoft products and Raisers Edge
