PACE Supply is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Project Engineer to lead our construction projects. - Collaborating with Branch Managers to maintain branch appearance and standards.
- Prioritizing and promptly addressing facility safety issues.
- Ensuring timely resolution of branch maintenance issues.
- Holding janitorial firms and other contractors accountable for maintaining high standards.
- Following up with managers to ensure services meet expectations (Quality Control).
- Soliciting, reviewing, and analyzing competitive quotes, selecting contractors for projects.
- Working closely with contractors throughout projects.
- Tracking job progress vs. schedule and identifying potential issues.
- Conducting frequent visits to projects to confirm progress and identify corrections.
- Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure correct project execution.
- Managing and controlling any change orders or design decisions.
- Tracking all periodic inspections and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Identifying potential new service providers.
- Managing the Open Ticket System and prioritizing needs properly.
- Arranging janitorial and other service and maintenance needs.
- Reacting quickly to urgent service requests (e.g., safety and HVAC issues).
- Approving service invoices and job progress payments for assigned projects.
- Overseeing construction projects not managed internally, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
- Managing facility design and construction scheduling, collaborating with contractors for successful project completion.
- Leading major projects, such as new branch openings and expansions.
- Traveling to project locations as needed.
- Identifying project scopes, securing estimates, and managing the bidding process.
- Collaborating with general contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensuring safety and minimizing impacts on customers and branch operations.
- Analyzing rack and facility layouts for optimal efficiency.
- Coordinating maintenance projects for facility upkeep.
- Taking responsibility for maintaining facilities to reflect a Pride of Ownership.
- Working closely with contractors and service providers with a primary focus on Safety.
- AA in Construction Management, BA in Construction Management preferred.
- At least 3 years of industry experience with a combination of both office and field exposure.
- 3 years or more experience successfully managing a team.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to adapt and think on your feet, demonstrating a self-starter attitude.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and set priorities.
- Basic knowledge and proper use of the English language, including reading, writing, and oral communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, dealing effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to Travel, Valid driver's license.

Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environmental Conditions:
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
