Job Description
The purpose of this job is to provide engineering support to Stratas facilities, assist in equipment improvement initiatives and assisting in continuous improvement in each facility. The Process/Project Engineer is expected to be a contributor to Stratas by supporting technical development of new and existing processes and packaging equipment. With leadership from immediate manager this position will assist in standardizing processes and procedures for the engineering group across Stratas.
- Travel and fill in/supplement when a Stratas location requires short-term Engineering assistance.
- Projects will range from large to small capital, plant improvement, continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability, maintenance, and standardization of processes.
- Assist the engineering department in Standardizing processes.
- Assist in writing SOPs and checklist as necessary to drive improvements.
- Lead efforts on sustainability projects by capturing all projects and helping implement these ideas across each facility.
- Act as a fill in for engineers or other leadership roles in case of absence.
- Run projects from ideation to completion.
- Position requires 30%-50% travel and could require up to 70%.
- Travel and fill in/supplement when a Stratas location requires Continuous Improvement assistance.
- Draw conclusions and make recommendations regarding packaging and process improvements.
- On-site packaging expert during Stratas plant start-ups of new packaging or process equipment.
- Perform duties as assigned by Technical Director.

Qualifications
Education: This position requires a degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Related Experience: 5-10 years of project management and leadership experience required. Experience leading a centralized center-of-excellence function preferred.

Essential Physical and Mental Requirements
Physical: This position will require employees to walk up stairways and be able to be in the field standing for long periods of time (2 to 4 hours at a time).
