IT Manager
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer, Holden Industries
Status: Full-time, exempt
Work Location: Holden Corporate Office, Deerfield, IL; potential for hybrid schedule
Job Overview
As an IT manager, you will work closely with the rest of our team to ensure that our company is using the most up-to-date technology to run our business. We are seeking an IT manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, and scalable. You will also be responsible for managing our internal network and providing support for our staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities an IT manager is expected to perform:
  • Align with Corporate Leadership to ensure a clear understanding of the enterprise IT strategy, and IT Operational and Business requirements.
  • Collaborate with operating Company IT and Business Leadership to execute key technology and security initiatives.
  • Stay current on new technologies, innovation efforts and platforms and provide feedback on emerging technologies that could be considered within the enterprise.
  • Communicate effectively across all peer groups to include applications, business, and technical areas, including finance and people operations.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate business knowledge and technical competencies.
  • Develop and manage IT annual operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance, Security and Audit policies, procedures. and best practices.
  • Liaison with Corporate People Operations and Finance to maintain current knowledge of training and develop tools and systems, best practices and company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Vendors, 3rd Party Business Partners and Service Providers. Ensure service providers perform to contractual SLAs and service obligations.

Position Qualifications -- Education and Experience
  • Associates Degree in a related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in technology leadership positions in a large local area network environment, preferably in a multi-company setting.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to technical bulletins and alerts, including security alerts from software publishers, equipment manufacturers, the security media, security researchers, CISA (the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency), and CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
  • Skilled at negotiating with vendors and ability to read, understand, and work with the legal department and vendors on common IT-related legal documents such as software and support contracts, service level agreements, statements of work, and purchase agreements.
  • Problem solver with ability to navigate complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and build consensus across operating companies.
  • Desire and ability to help fellow employee-owners succeed.
  • Ability to manage and respond to multiple priorities and changing business conditions.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
The employee must be able to travel on occasion, with overnight stays required.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
