-You will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the manufacturing facilities and acting as a partner to the business units and sites to achieve operational and environmental excellence. As the Corporate Environmental Manager you will manage, mentor and develop the Plant Environmental Managers.
-Responsible for implementing and/or monitoring company environmental programs and policies for sites. Ensure compliance with government and environmental regulations (EPA). Conduct employee training. Respond or assists with response to emergencies, investigates incidents, and recommends corrective actions, as well as ensures completion of investigations and corrective actions. Provides technical guidance on environmental issues. Completes or ensures completion of required federal, state, and local government reports. Creates, reviews and modifies regulatory programs as necessary, and periodically assesses for compliance. Assists with sustainability related projects and programs. In this role you will work collaboratively within the department to achieve goals and objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage, mentor and develop environmental personnel at sites.
· Coordinate, direct, and/or monitor all plant environmental compliance, programs, issues, and results. Assist plant operations to develop, monitor, and institute programs and procedures that ensure environmentally sound and legal operation and maintenance.
· Assist with preparation. Analyze and review all government reports. Assist sites with responding to complaints, malfunctions, and other environmental issues as they arise.
· Work collaboratively with other environmental personnel and other departments to achieve results. Manage environmental projects, as assigned.
· Develop and implement (or assist with development and implementation) policies and procedures necessary to meet requirements of company environmental policies, and federal, state, county or local environmental regulations.
· Assist and participate in company sustainability projects, programs, and initiatives. Assist with ESG data collection process, develop related procedures and processes.
· Assists with environmental vendors, develops scope of work and RFQ documents for environmental contracts.
· Provide regular updates to Director, HSE on plant environmental matters and projects.
· Act as company representative for legal and litigation matters as needed.
· Provide additional plant support with compliance issues as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental, Science or a related field.
- 10+ years related experience in managing environmental compliance at a heavy industrial facility.
- 5+ years of Title V compliance experience in an industrial environment
- 5 years of managing Consent Decree compliance at an industrial facility.
- 4+ years of supervisory experience. Leading and mentoring.
SKILLS REQUIRED
· Detailed knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental regulations and permits including but not limited to OSHA regulations, CAA, CWA, RCRA, DOT, EPCRA, and TRI.
· Ability to interpret and communicate information related to plant permitting requirements.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of SharePoint, Maximo or Oracle preferred.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, regulators and the general public.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
· Candidate must have strong attention to detail with desire to create excellent work product. To be successful in this role, candidate must also be able to consider the “big picture” and develop strategy and plans for implementation.
· Must have strong leadership skills and proven effectiveness in leading a strong safety culture and environmental compliance.
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a matrixed organization and working collaboratively with others.
· Demonstrated ability to mentor and facilitate growth of others while acting as a partner and servant leader to the business units is necessary.

Salary: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
