Job OverviewAs a Corporate Accounting Supervisor (UK), you lead a dynamic team of accountants to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to a monthly close schedule. Here are the roles you'll play:
**This is an onsite, in-person position located at our Atlanta, GA office**
Roles You Will PlayThe Leader Manage and facilitate monthly close procedures Timely and accurately prepare and/or review financial statements for assigned portfolio/group of UK companies; Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including but not limited to research and implementation of technical accounting and process memos, IFRS checklist ; Liaising with a third-party company and internal Tax Department in preparing annual tax returns and VAT returns; Review finance documents and legal agreements to assist with due diligence and transaction processing for joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions in the UK; Other ad-hoc projects and reporting as assigned, included but not limited to special project budget monitoring, revenue and agreement trackers, etc. Work with the investment group and staffs in regards to communicating development performance, budget, and other job-related metrics Supervise and support staff accountants to ensure performance criteria and deadlines are met Implement training for new hires and identify training opportunities for current associates Conduct performance evaluations for the teamThe Helper Assist with preparing consolidated financial statements and eliminations, followed IFRS standards, Companies Act 2006, and RICS regulations; Assist with explaining budget variances, as well as budget assumptions where required; Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports on variances Assist with financial and tax audits as well as corporate reporting requirements Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedureThe Impact You Can Make Investors, colleagues, and partners alike have absolute confidence in our financial statements because of your leadership, adherence to the company policy, and precise attention to detail. Building Blocks of SuccessBachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance; Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS; 3+ years of accounting experience which must include upper-level work; experience in Corporate Accounting preferred 1+ years of Accounting Supervisory experience CPA a plus, but not required; Experience in the corporate real estate preferred, but not required; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macro or Power Query experience preferred); Highly detail oriented and organized in work, strong research skills; Ability to meet assigned deadlines; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus; Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives; Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
