As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Corporate Accountant to join our remote finance team and contribute to our mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold the integrity of the company's finances by performing accounting duties within a remote finance department, adhering to established professional and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and national financial regulations.
- Review financial statements and records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide accurate financial data to support other departments' responsibilities.
- Maintain and update all documentation and systems related to accounting and company finances.
- Assist in establishing company best practices for accounting.
- Recommend cost reduction, process streamlining, and margin improvement strategies.
- Implement feedback and changes to optimize financial operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
- Handle full payroll functions, including timekeeping and reaching out to providers and employees for any payroll or timekeeping issues.
Duties:
- Manage assigned accounting, payroll, tax, and finance tasks using approved company software, including NetSuite and Paychex.
- Perform full payroll functions, including timekeeping, utilizing Paychex.
- Create and maintain statements, reports, and dashboards utilizing NetSuite.
- Ensure timely completion of reports and statements with high quality.
- Generate visualizations to convey accurate financial insights upon request.
- Reach out to providers and employees regarding any payroll or timekeeping issues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and bookkeeping programs, specifically NetSuite (2+ years).
- 1+ year of payroll experience using Paychex.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of two years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial modeling, with a focus on NetSuite.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
