REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INITIAL PHONE INTERVIEW:
REQUIRED - Must have or complete ServeSafe Food Handler Certification with 30 days upon hire
REQUIRED - One to two years related leadership experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED - Must have flexible working availability including days, nights and weekends

Developing and protecting the Culture and Operations of Cornbread, is one of the most critical priorities for this position. The Crew Chief is responsible for maintaining professional functional working relationships with Cornbread Team Members in all organizational-wide levels and guests. As they directly supervise the shifts of the store. They are responsible for the direction, coordination and daily operation of the team and store. This includes, supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Support training for all restaurant Team Members to improve unit operations and the guest experience
  • Execute shift Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current operations plan
  • Manage the restaurant floor and focus on regular contact with guests
  • Maintain and log guest complaints within acceptable limits and handle escalations in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure approved guest feedback system is in use and acted upon
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations
  • Communicate and enforce operational policies and procedures
  • Uphold and lead crew member appearance and uniform standards
  • Ensure compliance with SOP in the areas of food specifications, recipes, plating and garnishes
  • Ensure food is presented well and served at appropriate temperatures, within standard ticket times
  • Ensure adequate levels of food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen and miscellaneous supplies
  • Maintain supply chain, and inventory ordering in an adequate timeframe according to business need
  • Open and close the restaurant
  • Delegate employee functions that support operational needs
  • Cornbread Operating Procedures and Standards
  • Ensure the proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises according to federal, state and local regulations and SOP
  • Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the restaurant
  • Ensure sanitation practices are maintained according to federal, state and local regulations and SOP
  • Ensure that food is properly stored (labeled, dated and rotated) and proper temperatures are maintained
  • Enforce and monitor a deep cleaning schedule
  • Train Team Members on proper personal hygiene and food handling
  • Develop and maintain a safety program in the restaurant that incorporates a safety committee, safety meetings and information on the use of safety tools and procedures
  • Keep the frequency of accidents within acceptable limits
  • Maintain a safe and secure restaurant
  • Control guest checks and follow proper register/cash-handling procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of national and local marketing promotions, including the use of the correct Point of Purchase (POP) materials, posters and placemats
  • Keep menus clean and in good condition
  • Use Family Friendly promotional items as described in the Family Friendly section of this SOP
  • Complete all required reports and paperwork
  • Handle paperwork accurately and on a timely basis
  • Maintain personnel files with appropriate employment and legal documents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Able to be detail oriented organized, safety minded, trustworthy, reliable, and efficient.
  • Able to move distances throughout shift.
  • Required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing may be required to perform routine tasks. Frequent use of stairs. Dining
    room, patio, and kitchen is multi-level.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
