Coordinates all aspects of the evaluation/listing process for deceased donor and living donor transplantation for Chronic Kidney Disease patients. Acts as liaison between Saint Barnabas and all referring dialysis centers and referring MDs. Ensures continuity of care through effective communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in all areas of the transplant department. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment. 100% of job responsibilities are pre-transplant – no time study is required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey.
- Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification, required within 3 years of employment (effective 9/1/11).
- Experience in renal dialysis and /or transplantation preferred.
- Must seek and maintain current certification in the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support (BLS) & Phlebotomy.
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
