program and administrative support duties to assist in the coordination, scheduling, and execution of a range of transfer services, program activities, and events designed to help students prepare for successful transition to four-year institutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supports the Director - Transfer Services with day-to-day activities including greeting and assisting students arriving at the Transfer Center, answering inquiries from university representatives, and responding to emails from Center's email account.
- Provides program assistance to the Director - Transfer Center, College Advisors, and administrators engaged in providing transfer advising and related services to students.
- Helps students navigate online resources to explore transfer opportunities and access information including transfer guides, scholarship research, and CCC's transfer partnership agreements to four [1] year colleges and universities.
- Assists with planning, organizing, and executing transfer events and activities including workshops, information sessions, and college fairs and tours, working to ensure a positive student experience.
- Prepares materials for communication campaigns to potential transfer students; uses graphic design software such as Canva.
- Organizes and schedules campus visits by four-year institutions; coordinates logistics; promotes events to students through emails and social media; and tracks student participation.
- Gathers documents such as completed student surveys, sign in sheets and evaluations of services to maintain data on students' level of participation and interest in transfer services. Maintains records to document Transfer Center's activities, events, and services.
- Supports CCC's completion initiative by monitoring progress of students planning to transfer to four-year institutions; prepares reports.
- Maintains informational materials and makes available to students including updated print materials, printouts of transfer guides, and related materials.
- Attends monthly advising and transfer services staff meetings; on- and off- campus training sessions, and information-sharing events.
- Attends transfer related meetings at four-year institutions as needed.
- Oversees and guides student workers and interns in the Transfer Center as needed.
- Performs related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Associate degree from an accredited college. Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years of work experience in an administrative or program support role
- A combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration based on the applicant's credentials
- Knowledge and skill in using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment
- Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
