Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions, responsible for the implementation and execution of the Carle Illinois College of Medicine recruitment plan.Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruitment
• Assist the Associate Director of Admissions in developing and revising the multi-year strategic plan for recruitment.
• Maintain a multi-year recruitment calendar with deliberate decisions regarding conferences and visits to target schools.
• Implement plans for recruitment of Students who are disadvantaged.
• Recruit pre-med students; work with undergraduate pre-med advisors and other organizations to identify and communicate with potential applicants; serve as a representative and recruiter at professional school fairs and other recruiting venues.
• Recruit post-graduates considering medicine.
• Talk with prospective applicants.
• Track recruitment contacts and outcomes.
• Responsible for registration for fairs and events, travel coordination, logistics.
• Work with college marketing and communications team to plan recruitment materials and prospective connections.
• Design and maintain a recruitment website.
• Develop an applicant toolkit.
• Design and present workshops and webinars for a variety of audiences.
• Plan, oversee, and carry out programming and materials for target and partner schools.
• Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, particularly during the application and recruitment process of medical school candidates.
• Travel as required to conferences and other events. - Outreach
• Cultivate pathway relationships with undergraduate, high school, and other programs for recruitment of applicants to the College.
• Be involved in all pathway projects for Carle Illinois.
• Work with other campus units on outreach programs such as summer camps - Admissions
• Assist the Admissions team with events and projects.
• Work with the entire Admissions team in ongoing planning and continuous quality improvement. - Other
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires travel.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.Minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a field related to higher education or student affairs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn all aspects of the college's strategic approach to curriculum, research, diversity and inclusion, and collaborative approach. • Ability to learn and respect University policies and Liaison Committee on Medical Education standards.• Competency in planning, organization, and execution of events.• Strong interpersonal and communications skills that incorporate tact and diplomacy, as well as the ability to cultivate relationships. • Skills and abilities to work cooperatively with all constituencies in a unique environment of engineering-based medical education in the context of the Carle and Illinois private/public relationship.• Organizational, planning, and time management skills combined with attention to detail, as well as ability to think creatively and solve problems.• Strong knowledge and skills in internet-based communications and current social media, word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.• A strong work ethic, an approachable leadership style, and a consistent focus on the college's immediate and strategic goals. • Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative and complete projects with little or no supervision.• Knowledge of Student privacy regulations (FERPA).
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after January 15, 2024. Salary is commensurate with experience.
