Position Summary
The Coordinator of Student Engagement is responsible for enhancing the student experience by developing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote student involvement, leadership development, and campus community engagement. This individual serves as a key liaison between students, student organizations, and the university administration. In particular, the Coordinator works closely with student organizations and Greek organizations such as CPC, IFC, NPHC, and MGC, to provide guidance, support, and resources to help them thrive and contribute positively to the campus community. This includes overseeing the management of Student organizations, facilitating leadership development workshops, assisting with event planning and execution, and helping organizations navigate university policies and procedures. Additionally, the Coordinator collaborates with various campus departments and external partners to create opportunities for students to engage in meaningful and enriching co-curricular experiences. They may also be involved in assessment, data collection, and reporting to ensure the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and contribute to the overall success and retention of Students at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Duties:
Serve as the primary advisor to student organizations, providing guidance on leadership development, event planning, and risk management. Develop and facilitate workshops and training sessions for student organization leaders and members. Assist in the coordination and implementation of Student organization fairs and other recruitment events. Oversee the registration and recognition process for student organizations. Collaborate with campus partners to develop resources and support for student organizations.

Fraternity and Sorority Community
Duties:
Advise and support the fraternity and sorority community, including working closely with governing councils and individual chapters. Develop and implement educational programs related to risk management, leadership development, and academic success for fraternity and sorority members. Assist in the planning and execution of fraternity and sorority recruitment and intake processes. Collaborate with national organizations and other institutions to ensure compliance with policies and best practices. Serve as a liaison between the fraternity and sorority community and the campus community.

Serve as a resource and advisor to student leaders and organizations on leadership development, conflict resolution, and other related topics. Prepare and present reports on Student Engagement activities and outcomes to campus stakeholders.
