Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Coordinator of Student Conduct, as a member of the Office of Student Conduct, works collaboratively to manage student behavior, academic integrity, educate students on their roles as responsible and ethical citizens, and ensure accountability for those who fail to meet these expectations. The Coordinator assists in the management of administrative processes in a manner that ensures the integrity of the adjudicative process, the maintenance of due process, the coordination of the student judiciary, and the security of Students' behavioral records.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts preliminary meetings, investigations, and resolution meetings for students involved in the disciplinary process.
- Initiates and facilitates all administrative functions involving referrals of Students to the Office of Student Conduct for alleged violations of academic misconduct or non-academic misconduct.
- Ensures due process, confidentiality, efficiency, legal sufficiency, practical efficacy, and fairness of proceedings.
- Maintains files, responds to telephone inquiries and emails, and keeps appropriate records.
- Assumes responsibility for the management of the designated University Student Judiciary branch and conducts proceeding schedules, including orchestration of all parties to conduct proceedings (reporting parties, responding parties, faculty/staff, witnesses, presenters, advocates/attorneys, police, board members, etc.), locations and materials.
- Enters, updates, and maintains information in database (Maxient), USJ database, and the Student Information System; prepares and generates related reports.
- Provides consultation and coordination with faculty around academic integrity outcomes and other student behavior concerns.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the Code of Student Conduct, Code of Academic Integrity, and associated University procedures and policies.
- Compiles and analyzes annual statistical data.
- Coordinates administrative and educational sanctions.
- Contributes to the coordination of recruitment, training, selection and oversees members of the University Student Judiciary including Board members, Presiding Officers, Community Advocates, and Appellate Board members.
- Maintains effective collaborative and liaison relationships with many University offices and departments, including the Office of Rights and Responsibilities, Student Legal Aid Offices, and University Police Department.
- Represents the Office of Student Conduct in meetings/committees with other departments or University staff.
- Remains current in issues and trends related to their area of specialty, including legal trends, educational programs, federal or state law, and information technology.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- A Master's degree (or higher) in higher education or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of full-time experience or two years part-time in a post-secondary institutional setting, specifically in Student Conduct administration, is required.
- Direct experience in judicial/disciplinary processes and student behavior management is required.
Preferences:

There may be occasions when the incumbent will need to work outside their normal work shift to accommodate other shifts that exist in the organization for purposes of meetings, training, etc.
Salary range for this position is commensurate with candidate's skills and experience (low to mid $50,000's). Benefits include tuition remission, retirement programs, medical insurance, and annual and sick leave.
