Located near Des Moines, Iowa Speedway joined the NASCAR family of tracks in 2013. Known as the "Fastest Short Track on the Planet", Iowa Speedway plays host to two major race weekends a year, welcoming the ARCA Menards Series and the NTT INDYCAR Series. The track was designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace.
The Marketing Coordinator supports department colleagues to execute consumer marketing strategies and plans. The primary focus of the marketing coordinator is administrative and general support on projects to maximize productivity and efficiency on the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate communication within marketing team and internal departments which may include updates, news and insights
- Provide administrative support for team leads within the department, including oversight of scheduling, travel planning and expense reporting
- Support planning and execution for select team and industry events in partnership with marketing colleagues and Corporate Events team
- Work with colleagues to support development of presentations, and help package reports, analysis and business performance metrics
- Oversee credential requests, submissions and fulfillment on behalf of department colleagues
- Support monitoring and management of marketing budgets with team leads to track expenses and forecasts
- Manage and distribute itinerary for select colleagues
- Plan and execute department meetings, training and team offsites
- Other duties may be assigned
- Travel: 5%, including weekends
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Able to work effectively to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Positive attitude, team player with ability to anticipate needs
- Able to prepare and edit presentations/documents accurately
- Ability to handle multiple tasks working under pressure; comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritize, and negotiate conflicting deadlines
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, use hands to feel and handle, ability to lift 20 pounds and see including close vision
- Must have a valid driver's license
