This Coordinator supports the Wendy’s brand growth plan by driving and refining the strategy, process, programs and tools required to accelerate the recruitment of new franchise candidates in international markets. They are responsible for day-to-day management, administration and coordination of all International franchise recruiting needs. He or she acts as a Wendy’s Brand Ambassador and liaison, managing all marketing and communication required to support and engage new franchise candidates. This role reports to the Sr. Director, International Strategy & Business Development.


  • In partnership with the Global Franchise Recruiting & New Markets team, coordinates franchise recruiting activities. Manages new franchise candidate email and phone inquiries from internal and external sources. In partnership with Sr. Specialist and Managers, coordinates new franchise recruiting interviews, meetings and events. Facilitates required confidentiality agreement execution, applications, and background checks for new candidates, maintaining sensitivity to confidential nature of candidate’s personal information. This includes managing through confidentiality agreements, disclosure, and application process, abiding by franchising disclosure laws and timeline. Facilitates 3rd party background check process and financial reconciliation process with franchise recruiting team for all candidates. Acts as a functional liaison between operations, franchise legal, franchise development, finance, and restaurant development team members.
  • Manages and evolves reporting and tracking for prospective franchise candidates. Drive administration of all franchise applicants within Wendy’s proprietary CRM tool. Utilizes data and insights from candidate interactions to help define and implement new processes and procedures related to franchise recruiting. Partners with Managers of Recruiting and Sr. Specialist to help execute monthly dashboards and reporting. Works with Sr. Specialist on annual external audit process. Executes invoicing with franchise candidates, 3rd party background check companies, and Wendy’s accounting team.
  • Acts as a Wendy’s Brand Ambassador and liaison for Global Franchise Recruiting and Development. Monitors and maintains international franchise recruiting inbox, all website inquiries, marketing materials, public relations, and resources that heighten the awareness of the Wendy’s brand, franchising and new growth opportunities. Ensures key external resources and public listings (e.g. IFA/CFA websites, industry resources & periodicals, etc.) reflect accurate, up to date information regarding the brand. Must develop an understanding of all aspects of the Wendy's franchise agreement and franchise disclosure document. 
  • Partners with Sr. Director, Sr. Specialist, and Managers of Global Franchise Recruiting, Business Planning, & New Markets to drive calendar needs for the Global Franchise Recruiting team. Manages functional calendar and timing of key milestone meetings and events, including franchise recruiting interviews, meetings and events. Works with Franchise Recruiting team to support new franchisee onboarding worldwide.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3-5 years professional work experience preferably in a corporate environment with an emphasis in franchising, recruiting, new restaurant development, strategic development and/or restaurant operations.

Must have a track record of success driving collaboration cross-functionally to achieve results. Must have outstanding written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills with the ability to influence others, and drive prioritization and decisions. Must be highly analytical, strategic and demonstrate creative problem solving. Must be able to balance workload while continually reprioritizing. Must be highly driven to achieve results.   • Knowledge of franchising and new restaurant development related policies and procedures. Knowledge of law (real estate, franchise, contract, business), real estate and financial management/accounting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), Microsoft Teams, experience with Adobe Acrobat and graphic design tools/software would be beneficial.
  • This is a high profile role which interacts with high profile candidates and brand leadership.  Experience working with external clients and leadership is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.  Director and above roles are also eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive award program.
