Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator Drives and supports special projects and maintenance under the direction of the Facilities manager, responsibilities include actions related to building maintenance. This includes, but not limited to; overseeing general maintenance, contractor oversight, site safety, site security, housekeeping and landscaping services, shipping/logistics support and other duties. Will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical and administrative support ensuring successful planning and installation of various projects and maintenance within the organization. This position includes a mix of manual labor and oversight of vendors and contractors who provide facilities and construction related services.
- Coordinates contractor installation of equipment and building utilities.
- Coordinates internal project installation or rearrangement of equipment and building facilities.
- Work with outside service vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed
- Assist the Facilities Manager in all aspects of Building projects & maintenance.
- Facilitate bid process when required for facility projects (construction, consulting, new
- keeps current a comprehensive asset inventory of all facility assets requiring preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Assists in the monitoring of PM & DM work orders to ensure on time completion.
- Develops and maintains the filing system for critical systems Maintenance documents and records (fire system, pest control, boiler, elevator, city & state permits.)
- Must be extremely organized and able to multi-task to provide specific details of all documentation center files and retrieve files.
- Proven experience in maintenance, facilities and construction management
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting, etc.
- Must be able to work with managers and supervisors in many different situations and work effectively to resolve issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma. AA preferred
- Knowledge of project planning and management systems, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Minimum of three years of related experience in construction or facility maintenance.
- Minimum three years experience with maintenance documentation experience.
- Typical office environment with limited exposure to manufacturing and warehouse operations. Process an extensive amount of paperwork which requires attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to sit and stand as required for extended periods of time.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
