Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a cook. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation ensuring quality and consistency, manage inventory, storage of food supplies and uphold kitchen sanitation and safety standards. While no experience is necessar, the ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a restaurant kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and portion sizes
- Help with setting up and organizing the kitchen for meal service
- Assist with serving meals to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling kitchen equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen workflow
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
