We are hiring a full-time Cook to be a part of our awesome team here in the Holgate Community!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Cook and serve two meals during the shift
• Create therapeutic meals for residents with specific needs
• Prep for meals up to two days in advance
• Update diet card system daily
• Meet with new residents to identify and plan for food preferences/sensitivities
• Keep the workstation clean, sanitary, and uncluttered throughout the shift
• Other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE

• Monday to Friday
• 10 am - 6 pm
• Holidays

QUALIFICATIONS

• Follow oral and written instructions
• Adhere to all state, OSHA, and safety regulations
• Be a team player; able to supervise others
• Self-managed; self-starter; good time management
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Be a concise communicator with great command of the English language with the ease of reading, writing, comprehending, and speaking
• Must be able to properly lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted without difficulty
• Withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes as in entering refrigerated storage areas, working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and steam tables.
• one year of experience preferred
