Your Impact:
As a Conveyance Design Engineer, you will focus on the delivery and be responsible for the design of water/wastewater pipelines, pump stations and other conveyance related projects across northern California including a range of project sizes. Design includes but not limited to, planning, preliminary design, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production, and services during construction. You will also have the opportunity to grow professionally through your participation with internal and external project teams delivering challenging projects while serving existing clients and developing new clients.
Conveyance Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop conceptual and final design drawings and specification packages for municipal, agricultural, and other water agencies
Leading utility research and field investigations
Conduct alternatives analyses and route studies to define work in preliminary phases
Perform hydraulic and design calculations to support design development
Write technical memorandums and basis of design reports to convey design criteria, alternatives analyses, and concepts to clients and stakeholders
Review construction documents and aid in services during construction
Contribute to client communications, presentations, and deliverables
Lead tasks on projects underneath a project manager/design manager
Communicate effectively internally and externally
Develop and maintain mentor and mentee relationships with staff within the Conveyance Design team
Heres What Youll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience delivering multiple water or wastewater conveyance projects
Licensed CA Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain CA P.E.)
Ideally, heres what youll also have:
5-10 years of experience serving various clients involving a wide variety of projects including conveyance pipeline design, water/wastewater pump station design, or similar design experience
Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
Construction support experience for water and wastewater projects
