Join our Regulatory & Change Management Governance (RCMG) team as the Controls / Business Management Team Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy and control framework. This role offers you the opportunity to engage with Senior Controls Leadership, coordinate team communication and planning, and contribute significantly to the overall improvement of the RCMG organization.
As a Controls / Business Management Team Lead in the Regulatory & Change Management Governance (RCMG) team you will play a vital role. The role will have responsibilities in both running the RCMG business and executing on the Controls framework. As the Business Manager for RCMG you will have responsibility for coordinating team communication, planning, and engagement with Senior Controls Leadership. You will leverage the Business Insights team to understand and anticipate changes to the current regulatory environment and apply this to the strategy for the Program and for the overall improvement of the RCMG organization. As the controls lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the exam readiness program, internal RCMG Controls, controls engagements with our stakeholders, and partnering with our Controls Manager on all related controls activity.
Job responsibilities
- Evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the RCMG’s risk and control environment to identify gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks
- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
- Provide on-going risk assessment for RCMG product and process changes, evaluate the strength of the established procedures and controls
- Coordinate control testing and issue management resolution
- Leverage insights from the field to drive upstream process, system and planning improvements to better serve leadership
- Support the organizational evolution toward Horizontal Process, including the routines that underpin new ways of working
- Manage agendas and strategically plan for team meetings, town halls, and Management Team offsites, newsletter and leadership messaging
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Knowledge of compliance with regulatory requirements across various lines of businesses
- Project and/or Program Management background and experience
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills with senior and mid-level management
- Ability to motivate and influence others, including junior colleagues and external stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to present executive forums
- Demonstrated knowledge/background in internal control principles, experience in risk and control self-assessment, including risk and control testing, business process improvement and data analysis and CORE.
