As the Customer Account Manager, Team Lead, you will oversee an assigned Customer Account base and focus on volume award compliance and financial profitability on those accounts. You’ll also serve as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams. You will facilitate the timely and successful delivery of business solutions. You will in addition be a Team Leader to a group of Account Managers. What you'll do:
- Lead Account Manager team to manage daily communications essential to task management and reaching department goals.
- Monitors and manages team performance including annual performance reviews.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales team and customers to handle ongoing account activities for your assigned accounts.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including customers, shippers, and consignees, to integrate business processes that create an effective and proactive On-Boarding new and incremental business including EDI (electronic data interchange.)
- Support and participate in the service management process (Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations) to drive on-time performance, manage customer expectations, and improve the customer experience.
- Manage and analyze financial data for assigned accounts. This includes standard linehaul, fuel, and Accessorial (Extra Charge beyond a linehaul/fuel).
- Support resolving Disputed invoices with cross-functional internal teams.
- Manage volume award compliance with assigned accounts.
- Visit customer locations, deliver presentations, and represent STG in a professional manner at quarterly meetings.
What you'll have:
- 4 years of experience in customer service, operations and/or Account Management.
- Strong fluency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience presenting data and compelling information to external customers
- Success in identifying in opportunities for process efficiency and resource maximization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred but not required.
