Job Title: Controller/CPA
Experience Level: 10+ years as a Controller/CPA (Consideration for less experience with construction background)
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller/CPA. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the financial oversight, licensing, compliance, reporting, information technology function, facilities management, risk management, and any special projects that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage licensing requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle reporting responsibilities, both internal and external, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Take charge of the information technology function, ensuring smooth operations and security.
- Supervise facilities management to ensure an efficient and safe working environment.
- Lead risk management efforts to safeguard the company's assets and interests.
- Take on any special projects as assigned, applying strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Controller/CPA.
- Consideration for less experience if accompanied by a background in construction.
- Oil/Gas industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgeting and forecasting for exponential growth.
- Strong tax filing capabilities and compliance expertise.
- Familiarity with software such as Quickbooks, ADP, and potentially Netsuite.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is required.
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing financial functions.
- Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
