Plant Controller in the Lawrenceburg, TN area
The Plant Controller or designate is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the facility

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Review the processing and accounting of payroll and all related activities.
- Direct weekly/monthly reconciliation of the bank accounts where applicable.
- Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site.
- Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions.
- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant.
- Prepare and develop the annual Budget with input from operations and participate in annual budget review meeting.
- Prepare the standard cost roll out based on Budget figures.
- Review and approve G/L coding on purchase requisitions where applicable.
- Coordinate physical inventory once a year and control the cycle inventory process for the facility.
- Prepare the year end audit file, liaising with external auditors.
- Manage commercial issues with appropriate personnel.
- Direct customer pricing changes and retro billings and ensure that the pricing database is correct and up to date (for manufacturing locations).
- Full plant Income Statement and Balance Sheet responsibility inclusive of reconciliations, review, and variance analysis.
- Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, region, or corporate objectives.
- Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team.
- Shares best practices across global finance team, e.g. process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changes.
- Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
- Collaborates with General Manager and senior management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis.
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
- Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements
- Estimate product costs to support quoting activities.
