Job Description:

As an Assistant Controller, you will be involved in many finance functions of the plant, including all duties associated with the monthly financial close, maintaining a strong internal control environment, maintaining the accuracy of the physical inventory, etc. This position will also provide analytical support to the Plant Controller, assisting in identifying areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Required Skills:
• Provide analytical support to Plant Controller, managing KPI's, performing cost analysis, etc.
• Assist with monthly financial close.
• Assist with preparation of Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecasting.
• Assist in maintaining all internal controls as well as assisting with all external and internal audits.
• Track and forecast all cost savings projects.
• Assist Supply Chain with inventory tracking and initiatives and coordination of physical inventory.
• Assist Operational Excellence by providing analytical support when applicable, as well as participate in various lean events.
Required Experience:
• B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with accounting concentration
• Master's Degree or CPA preferred
• 5 - 7 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting and automated accounting systems.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees, management and outside professionals.
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Ability to perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• ERP System experience, JDE E1, a plus.
