About the Role:
As the Controller, you will oversee accounting and control in a corporate setting and interact with multiple properties (Jurassic Quest & Brick Fest Live), including the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. You will be responsible for critical financial aspects of the properties and are expected to provide meaningful leadership and support contributing to the overall success of Family Quest Entertainment. You must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask.

About the Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and enforce financial and reporting policies and standards in compliance with the US GAAP and FASB.
- Oversee internal controls to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial statements and reporting, and to ensure the policies and procedures meet other organizational objectives and needs. Also, ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the Company.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as needed.
- Help manage the overall accounting department, which will fully support the Company’s objectives.
- Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of performance, integrity, and ethical behavior and cooperation in all business activities.
- Lead month-end close processes to ensure accurate posting and appropriate allocations.
- Manage and reconcile the Company’s CapEx on a monthly basis or more frequently as needed.
- Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review.
- Organize information and statements for audits (year-end external audit, lender audits, others)
- Undertake special projects and/or general management assignments as requested by senior leadership.
About the Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred. MBA a plus
- 10-12 years of comparable work experience, with some entertainment industry experience preferred.
- Directed an accounting and control organization of relevant size and complexity through a period of sustained growth.
- Strong operating accounting experience, ideally in fast-paced, entrepreneurial company.
- NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Experience and confidence dealing with senior leadership.
- Experience developing and coaching teams to perform at new levels of achievement.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities that allow projects and goals to be completed on time.
- Be able to delegate responsibility and authority to the lowest appropriate level yet be willing to participate directly and actively as required.
- Ability to identify and evaluate manual accounting processes that can be automated or further integrated into existing accounting platforms.
About the Location:
This position is assigned to a remote environment, subject to business needs and will include periodic off-site meeting visits and other travel.
