Job Opportunity: Controller (Accounting Professional) - Confidential
Location: Bay Area
We are leading a groundbreaking venture in the services market and need a strong accountant to join the growing business! Backed by a Private Equity group, this is an MA heavy, operational building specialty role for an accountant looking to take the next step in their career. Other than the day to day responsibilities, you will ultimately have the chance to lead an entire region - coordinating with senior leadership and partners to effectively grow this start up venture into a strong and flourishing business!
Key Responsibilities:

• Finance Leadership: Manage the finance functions for our inaugural partner company.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee general accounting operations, controlling and verifying financial transactions.
• Growth Potential: Opportunity to expand responsibilities and potentially build out the regions accounting department as the company grows.
• Collaboration: Interface with post-transaction support accountants at CBIZ to strengthen our Partner Services accounting team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience, 2+ years managing a private companies account
• Proven experience with GAAP and end-to-end transactional accounting.
• Initiative, discretion, and independent judgment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with ample development opportunities.
