Controller – Chief Financial Officer (10 Years Accounting Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the Defense and Space Manufacturing industry is looking for a Controller – Chief Financial Officer to add to their team in Madison, AL. Reporting to the CEO, you will primarily be responsible for financial reporting and banking. In addition, you will manage limited HR tasks, such as negotiating benefits and 401k plans. Though prior experience in these areas would be ideal, our client also has great partners that are available as resources to learn from in these areas. To be successful in this role, you must have at least 10 Years of full-cycle accounting experience, with prior manufacturing and cost accounting experience being preferred. Controller – Chief Financial Officer (10 Years Accounting Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

• Support and supervise bookkeeper with GL, AR, AP, PR activities
• Prepare accounting entries and financial reports
• Interpret company activity for proper recording
• Review, analyze, and report financial statements
• Manage integrity and accuracy of all financial reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Review, approve, and process payroll
• Manage banking, cash accounts, and credit activities
• Prepare, review, and file necessary tax forms for business, income, payroll, property, and taxes
• Liaise with vendors, customers, attorneys, and other resources for planning purposes
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices
• Act as a liaison between the company and governmental representatives
• Perform HR tasks, such as benefits, plans, handbook, testing, and other oversight as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required
