Job Title: Controller

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Salary: 75k- 110k DOE

Status: Full-time, Exempt

The Controller will serve as the senior leader of the accounting and finance operations and is responsible

for the management and oversight of all finance, accounting, payroll, and reporting functions. The

Controller will coordinate and supervise the annual audit and will interact with outside CPA on

completion of tax returns. The controller will also supervise the month-end close and present the monthly

financial analysis in Board meetings. This person would ultimately be responsible for the financial

statements of multiple entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and ensure consistency with the Institution’s mission, goals, strategic plans, policies, and procedures; as well as compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Oversee all accounting and reporting functions for multiple entities to ensure compliance with
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements, and other best business operational and accounting practices
• Maintain relationship with bank, including loan covenants, preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements, and establishing new financing arrangements
• Maintain and establish internal controls
• Direct and oversee the hiring, development, management, and evaluation of accounting staff
• Manage company’s cash flow forecasting and treasury needs
• Resolve customer disputes and conflicts regarding accounting policies
• Maintain and promote confidentiality of information

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited College or University
• Certified Public Accountant license not mandatory but preferred
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and financial reporting skills
• Excellent business writing, oral presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
• Experience in Quickbooks strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to foster a cooperative work environment and inspire staff
• Detail-oriented and organized

• Even-tempered personality and approachable demeanor
• Is organized and a long-range planner.
