Kalas Manufacturing, Inc is a growing privately held family business in its third generation as a manufacturer of insulated copper wire and terminated cable assemblies. For over 65 years, our products have powered equipment in industries such as construction, agriculture, trucking, ground water, welding, and portable power through our “Blue Chip” customers!

We are seeking a hands-on financial professional with a strong sense of personal initiative and integrity, who can lead the accounting and financial functions within the organization. This person will have 5+ years’ experience in public accounting with a focus in manufacturing preferred. Designation as a Certified Public Accountant and a Graduate degree in accounting or finance is preferred, but not required.

Initial responsibilities include:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting team and assess the internal controls currently in place.
• Oversee financial close process
• Support the annual budgeting process and intra-year forecasting
• Develop and implement sound accounting policies, procedures, and controls
• Learn the Kalas business and our associates, through leadership, communication, personal connection and contribute to overall performance improvement.
• Liaise with Kalas’ external auditors on matters related to audit activities
• Oversee Kalas insurance policies and renewal process
