Hajek CPA is hiring a Controller for a company in Houston. As Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This is an in-house position, requiring your physical presence at our location. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of professionals, driving the accurate and timely compilation of financial data, forecasting, and reporting for our projects.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll

- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insightful reports to senior management

- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the financial health of the company

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies

- Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors

- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred)

- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards

- Proficient in using financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

$100,000 - $125,000
