This is responsible field work in connection with maintaining HVAC systems for Lincoln Transportation and Utilities - Lincoln Water Resource Recovery Facilities.
Strongly Desired: Five years of experience in HVAC repair and troubleshooting, HVAC certification.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by completion of vocational/technical training or two-year college degree in electronics or related field plus two years of experience in repair and maintenance of control and instrumentation equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Necessary Special Requirement: Completion and certification in advanced Programmable Logic Controller or ability to acquire same within 12 months. Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory completion of assigned duties.

Nature of Work/Examples of Work Performed
- Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment associated with HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance work orders as scheduled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist and sustain functionality of control and instrumentation systems for wastewater treatment operations.

- Knowledge of various types of HVAC equipment, electric, gas, boilers, chillers etc.

- Ability to read and interpret record drawings associated with wastewater facilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, the public and other employees.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and terrains.
- Skill using a laptop, iPad, digital camera, etc., to record and document work order events.
- Assist in the requisition and purchase of HVAC equipment, as necessary.
