Job Summary:
Caterpillar's Control System Senior Team Lead will report to the Senior Manager NPI and will work with A&A (Autonomy & Automation) business unit leaders, L6 machine NPI & Technology leaders, and L6 Machine System Team Leaders to establish and communicate a plan for executing Caterpillar's Autonomy, assist, and safety system technology. As a member of the Control Systems team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. Level Extensive Experience:
• Collaborates with an extended professional technology network to help clients effectively identify, plan for and accomplish technology objectives.
• Supervises others in advising a range of clients across a myriad of products, technologies, services and solutions in a relevant technology domain.
• Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and advises clients regarding their potential business impacts.
• Effectively consults with and conveys technology concepts, business impacts and other advice to senior client levels.
• Trains others in developing technology business, channel management and client coaching.
• Leverages formal certifications in mastery of multiple areas of technology in demonstrating credibility for client consulting.

- Provide communications with product managers, VPs and Senior VPs as necessary to provide machine technology deployment strategy and progress clarity.

- Candidate must have a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
- +15 years of Caterpillar Electrical components, systems, sub-system or engine systems experience
- +10 years leading a team with experience communicating with product managers, VPs and Senior VPs.
- +8 years' experience in the development of complex machine systems.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Experience leading and managing multi-year NPI programs with R&D LTEs exceeding $2M.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems on Caterpillar machines
- Understanding of electro/hydraulic systems and other major machine subsystems.
- Ability to read and utilize a schematic to troubleshoot basic machine wiring issues.
- Demonstrated customer focus, analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify needed actions across organizational boundaries and act to resolve issues with minimal oversight
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with a diverse group
- Demonstrated project planning, oversight and status tracking and reporting skills
