Job description

New Journey AI/Genesis10 is actively seeking a Control System Engineer. As a Control System Engineer, you will focus on improving equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment like conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs.The candidate will provide formal supervision to individuals within the team, and serve as a second-level support for Control Systems technician and lead teams across regional sites, providing support to repair all hardware or controls software systems within the facility.Role Responsibilities Solve material handling equipment, Control Systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, AS-Interface, Profibus, labeling and parcel sortation system, motor Control Systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.Supervise metrics that support MHE systems optimization, and partner with facilities/operations teams to resolve system performance issues, providing analysis and solution across assigned sites.Conduct failure analysis and incident review processes, implement process improvements and/or retraining to avoid future incidents.Assist with skill assessments for the technical positions within the Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) teams.Conducts readiness audits and technical drills.Develops specifications and assist in solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts.Coordinate technical resources to support commissioning, training, and (IQOQ) installation qualification, operational qualification and performance qualification for new and existing facilities.Provide knowledge base through development of policies, procedures, and standard work documents.Perform reliability analysis of the maintenance program by performing in-depth root cause analysis (RCA).Partner with original equipment manufacturers (OEM), vendors, and business partners to craft, develop, and implement solutions that will optimize equipment performance.Mentor individuals on the Control Systems team by providing training, coaching, and formal oversight for their career development and growth.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or 5+ years of relevant working experience and/or training.Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls, and environmental regulations, including safety laws.Highly developed computer skills including with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to various sites within your assigned region.Preferred QualificationsAbility to use work order systems.Experience with crafting automated alarms, reports, metrics for plant management, and HMI for operational equipment configuration/settings.4+ years Allen Bradley PLC programming experience using RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx experience with at least two full cycle of PLC ladder logic code design, development and testing.Compensation: $130,000/ yearIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!About New Journey/Genesis10:New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is a leader in staffing, providing opportunities in light industrial, finance/accounting, financial services, human resources, data, administrative, autonomous vehicles, business operations, and legal, amongst others.
