Control Room Operator

Control Room Operator is responsible for attaining knowledge of the proper Safety procedures, Process Layout, Desired Technical Process Conditions, Process Visualization Systems, and Data Analysis. The Control Room Operator is also responsible for selecting and loading the correct chemical components to complete desired setups to satisfy targeted job orders. The Control Room Operator must be capable of executing methods that will test and verify required penetration and recovery based on Stakeholders’ requirements. The Control Room Operator will be responsible for Controlling Non-Conforming Products and Processes.

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs within capabilities to maintain continuous operation and assist in the field as needed.
• The position will perform preventive and autonomous maintenance activity.
• Provide information and adjustment information to the utility operators working in the mill and kiln departments.
• Maintain liaison with quality control to ensure uniform processing. Keep accurate, neat, timely records of equipment and process as directed.
  • Responsible understanding the overview of the process and General Terminology
  • Responsible for Understanding how to operate the HMI Control Settings and the Operating methods, safely to achieve 1st. Quality Awareness in each areas:
  • Responsible for Troubleshooting Techniques for each area
  • Understands TPI Timber Products Inspection, Inc. AWPA American Wood Preservative Association standards, and any additional certification requirements or all associated documents
  • Pollard Lumber Summary Report manually and electronically
  • Demonstrate understanding of panel quality criteria. Assure that all Grading Rules are being followed and proper identification and disposition of nonconformance material.
  • Complete understanding of the 5S program and its practices. Assure that area is clean and neat.
  • Monitors individual and process performance and record and communicate to manager at-risk behaviors, conditions, code of conduct violation that requires follow up interviews or formal corrective action.
  • Determines manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule and makes daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime to adhere to the Customer Delivery date.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company mandated safety procedures.
