Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Coppell, TX ( Hybrid: 3 days Onsite / 2 days REMOTE )
Duration: 6 Months (CONTRACT TO HIRE)
Skills & Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge in database technologies like Snowflake, SQL Server or similar
- Strong expertise in creating, tuning SQL queries and developing PL/SQL packages
- Experience in programming language Python
- Knowledge in data integration tool Talend
- Experienced in scheduling tools like Autosys or similar
- Good understanding of cloud technologies AWS and/or Azure
Description:
- This role is an important intermediary between development teams and various users/business and infrastructure teams.
- An individual in the role will need to adapt in both developer tools/processes and versed in multiple technology disciplines.
- The role will also mentor engineers on all aspects of design and how to adapt to changing requirements with best practices to present supportable solutions while staying fiscally responsible to the company.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering requirements from business teams and coordinating technical changes with development and infrastructure teams to meet the needs of the business.
- Consult, communicate, and gain acceptance with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure end to end support for design, implementation, and operations. Solutions should support end to end success.
- Facilitate the implementation of new solutions or technologies by operations & engineering teams and providing subject matter expertise in an educational and supportive manner.
- Perform coding, debugging, analysis and planning
- Assess new products and solutions, and document plan and procedures
- Build partnerships with users, business, developers and technology teams to help ensure the success of the company via existing and emerging technologies.
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
