Job description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Support Specialist for our Transportation-Construction Management team in the Raleigh Durham area of North Carolina.

The Contract Support Specialist will work closely with the assigned Project Manager and Office Engineer and will be responsible for tracking and managing all administrative aspects of the assigned construction projects in the area. The ideal candidate will display a high degree of professionalism, organization, and ability to cooperate with co-workers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist in setting up all project administration documents
  • Prepare all contract documentation including subcontract agreements, purchase orders, change orders, requests for information, etc.
  • Collect tax-exempt certificates, certified payroll, etc. for applicable projects
  • Track and maintain Submittals, RFI’s, Addendums, Bulletins Construction Drawings, Sketches, etc.
  • Obtain and track the validity of insurance certificates
  • Ensure project file integrity and confirm that all required project docs have been collected i.e., subcontract/PO signed and fully executed, insurances, etc.
  • Prepare preliminary meeting minutes for the Project Manager’s review
  • Collect, validate, and manage project field reports, etc.
  • Prepare project close-out packages upon completion of projects; as-built drawings, owner manuals, warranty letters, etc.
  • Answer phones and route calls accordingly, if necessary

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in road and bridge CEI project-related duties
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with email, internet, MS Office products
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Effective team player, self-motivated, and quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills with superior written, oral, and digital communication skills
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
