Job Description
- Networks with biotherapeutics discovery functional leaders and scientists to support the collection of different types of data generated at various stages of drug discovery projects. Develops standardized data structures, controlled vocabularies, data harmonization and integration standards across different stages of projects and across different projects, in accordance with Digital IU's data manifesto and FAIR principles and with guidance from subject matter experts.
- Works with the network of data stewards in the BI innovation unit to ensure coordinated implementation of data standards beyond Biotherapeutics Discovery department.
- Owns digitization and curation process to transform legacy as well as ongoing project data into FAIR data within an agile product team to support Biotherapeutic Discovery's digitalization efforts.
- Ensures sustainable and standardized integration of biologicals discovery data and maintains a constant and harmonized data input flow into the databases (currently: GDB and Developability Navigator) and the biologicals data landscape.
- Accountable for database maintenance and upgrades as needed by BtD's Scientists Collaborates with lab-based scientists to identify new opportunities for improving process workflows and implementing digital solutions.
- Participates in Computational Biochemistry and Bioinformatics groups portfolio support activities.

Education:
- Master's degree in biotechnology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or Computer Science with concentration in Bioinformatics/Computational biology or equivalent
- Experience in data curation, analyses, and software development and web-based deployment, acquired preferably in a Biopharmaceutical Industry environment.
- Familiar with at least one modern computer programming language such as Python.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and high performance computing
