Job Summary:
The Contract Administration group is responsible for managing all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from licensee on-boarding, contract negotiations, through contract amendments and renewals. This role has high interaction with a broad array of Disney groups (Licensing, Finance, Legal, Credit and Collections, ILS, etc.), as well as Disney’s licensees. The group also focuses on implementing efficient and effective systems and processes.
Specific Duties
The position will be primarily responsible for the following key functions under the direction of management and Senior Contract Administrator:
Perform Licensing contract and amendment tasks and activities for merchandise and publishing Licensees.
Review deal points (contract business terms) with Licensing, Finance, and Legal.
Work with Credit & Collections to resolve licensee credit requirements.
Identify licensee’s contract concerns, determine course of action to resolve including referring the issues to management, Legal, Finance, or Licensing.
Participate in meetings and calls with Licensing, Finance, Legal, and licensees.
Draft amendment requests, authorization letters, etc.
Participate in system and process improvement projects.
Identify and resolves contracts issues, system issues, process needs; performs analysis and makes recommendations for resolution; provides appropriate, timely escalation of issues.
Perform other administrative department functions as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum six-month internship in related field, or equivalent experience.
Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen.
Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation.”
Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings.
High energy level; strong work ethic.
Self-driven, independent thinker.
Results-oriented, decisive.
Exhibit a willingness to be adaptable and flexible and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualification
Work experience within the entertainment industry would be considered a strong plus.
Education
Must possess a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
