Content Writer (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This role will author and edit blogs and other communications related collateral seeking information from multiple key contributors, ensuring professional, clear writing that informs customers of security risks that also builds customer trust in Microsoft security.
Responsibilities:
- Create and edit customer-facing blog content and manage reviews and feedback.
- Author and revise initial drafts of customer-facing content related to security and privacy events, including, but not limited to:
- Identify gaps in the content and drive stakeholders to close gaps.
- Submit a final draft for review.
- Address feedback from reviews.
- Review changes with stakeholders.
- Submit a final version for publication.
- Author and/or revise drafts of customer-facing content including but not limited to security researcher profiles, security education content.
- Assist blog authors on their content.
- Ensure a consistent voice to blogs.
- Deliverables:
- Weekly report of blogs in process.
- At least five (5) published blogs.
- Revise content creation and communication strategies, process, metrics, and supporting documentation, and training.
- Make recommendations to improve internal operations for blog creation and reviews.
- Make content strategy recommendations for blog communications to drive greater customer awareness and trust in Microsoft security.
- Assess, analyze, and improve available blog analytics to assess success.
- Update templates and coach other members of the staff on writing mechanics that lead to customer trust.
- Deliverables:
- Weekly client status updates.
- Report of blog performance analytics per post.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in creating clear and compelling executive oriented security communications and/or public content.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge and experience in NIST CSF & SP00-61R2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, PCI, SOC 2.
- Professional technical writing certifications (CTP, CPTC, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience.

- Pay Range: $36.50-41.50 per hour
