Salary: Base Annual Salary: $90k - $120k per year DOE + Commission

Cineverse is looking for a motivated and results-driven Content Sales Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new content licensing opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing client relationships to drive revenue growth. The Content Sales Director will play a key role in expanding our portfolio of licensed properties and maximizing licensing revenue.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential licensing partners and opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure new licensing agreements and partnerships, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales presentations.
  • Negotiate licensing terms and agreements in collaboration with legal and business development teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximizing revenue potential.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing licensing partners, serving as the main point of contact and addressing any inquiries or issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and finance to support licensing initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management review, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing licensing performance.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our licensing capabilities and build brand awareness as needed.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in movies & TV licensing sales, business development, or related roles, preferably within the streaming media sector.
  • Strong, proven relationships with key buyers and licensing decision makers at streaming services, cable, and broadcast networks is a must. 
  • Ability to forecast licensing values for Pay One, Pay Two, and library windows across all business models.
  • Familiarity with licensing contracts, intellectual property rights, industry regulations and a keen understanding of the OTT space and players, FAST, AVOD, SVOD and otherwise. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through licensing agreements.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to develop, structure and sell creative content packages that meet buyers strategic needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
