Content Writer/Editor:
As a content writer and editor, you’ll use creativity to inspire, educate, and promote recovery through Haven Health Management’s many brands. You’ll take responsibility for your work by planning ideas in collaboration, perfecting your writing through revision, and seeking opportunities to publish outside the organization.
You should bring a flexible understanding of the written word to intelligently create content for various audiences and purposes within many genres and constraints. Being effective with forms like website headlines and long-form features is ideal. You should also be competent and comfortable in respecting differences of experience: you will write carefully about highly sensitive topics that impact many different communities in important, distinct ways.
In short, the best candidate is incredibly thoughtful as they create and edit content. Representing Haven Health Management, you will:
—Share ideas to leverage trends in lifestyle, health, and wellness spaces.
—Research/edit/rewrite articles (blog posts, etc.) as assigned.
—Partner with editorial and graphics teams to enhance storytelling.
—Maintain our internal and web standards across a copy and through edits.
Basic Requirements:
—Two years of experience in copywriting, journalism, or publishing
—Advanced degree and a solid background in professional writing
—Expert grasp of English grammar, style, and expression
—Passionate about creating high-quality content across genres
—Keen sense of American culture, lifestyle, and wellness trends
—Compassionate style on sensitive concerns for at-risk communities
—Able to navigate changing demands under tight deadlines
—Willing to work on-site at our headquarters in West Palm Beach
