University Marketing is looking to fill one Content Creator position who will help create content for Oregon State University's social media TikTok and occasionally Instagram accounts (@oregonstate).
The Content Creator position will support OSU and University Marketing by producing digital content that represents an authentic look into the student experience at Oregon State. Students in this position will be tasked with creating content for TikTok and occasionally Instagram Reels based on their experience and interests to help showcase a day in the life of Beaver Nation.
The student in this role will receive initial direction and regular points of contact with University Marketing staff to share ideas, brainstorm and provide review of the material. Any work created by students in this position is available for use on OSU social networks, web sites, blogs and other marketing channels.
Position Duties Each week the Content Creator will be tasked/assigned specific kinds of content to create based on their experience, interests and availability. The student will be given some initial direction and will have access to collaborate with the University Marketing team but will be responsible for the creative concept and execution

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services ( OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
- Experience using TikTok, and Instagram, you aren't required to have personal accounts on all networks or a large following, but you should have general knowledge of how various social channels work.
- A commitment to creating authentic and inclusive content that enhances public opinion of Oregon State University.
- Although not required, experience creating TikToks and Instagram Reels is a plus.
