Container Planning & Design Analyst
Waterloo, Iowa - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support inbound and/or outbound logistics processes and planning to ensure smooth material and information flow throughout the entire supply chain as required. Lead project team(s) in analyzing, interpreting, and documenting logistics processes and information and make recommendations for process changes and/or improvements.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Provide ongoing support for other container related tasks and Container Planning and Design Specialists.
- Analyzing and working container parms and repack queue - all parms and repack that impact containers.
- Investigating and resolving all Qnotes that are assigned against the container department.
- Investigate current OFP packaging issues or requests; identify root cause and permanent corrective action/packaging solution as required with consideration for safety/ergo, part quality, cost, shipping and material flow/handling efficiency, and line side presentation.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement projects related to returnable containers or part packaging plans.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement projects related to various Container Planning & Design processes.
- Lead and drive specific cost reduction projects.
- Various audits related to inventory (containers, tubs, wood products, repack materials).
- Oversee relationships with fabricator suppliers regarding on time delivery.
Requirements:
- 4 year degree in any field.
- Must be organized, self-directed, team player and have project management skills.
- Moderate to Advanced MS Excel experience is a plus.
- Cross functional experience.
- Interpersonal communication, negotiations, conflict resolution.
- Ability to data mine - SAP, BD2, Power BI.
- Understanding of material flow and logistics.
