JOB SUMMARY
Answer incoming calls and e-mails to the Contact Center, assist with questions from the public regarding Pinal County services, resolve questions within the scope of authority and training, and create service requests for County departments under basic supervision.
Example of Duties
TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Answer incoming calls and e-mails to the Contact Center, verify user information, identify and classify the customer request, create service requests, route requests to County departments, and resolve customers' questions within scope of authority and training.
- Obtain the correct answer from the County subject matter expert and relay the information to the caller or transfer caller to subject matter expert as needed.
- Update resident and customer databases.
- Work as a communication facilitator between the public and the county.
- Operate various types of software and office equipment.
- Answer telephone and email inquires by accessing multiple databases, electronically retrieving data and assessing information to communicate accurate answers to citizens and County staff.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of customer service and computer experience.
- Valid Arizona State Driver's License.
Supplemental Information
- Knowledge of basic record keeping practices.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and protocols.
- Skill in operating computer systems and basic software applications.
- Ability to provide effective customer service and deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
The work is sedentary and requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The work also requires the ability to finger, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
