DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced engineer with hands-on networking experience in all parts of the networking lifecycle for SMB and enterprise environments. The candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision and be responsible for task management and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and technical knowledge. The candidate will utilize Edafio’s network solutions to design, implement, and manage our client’s enterprise environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 6+ years of MSP Network Engineering
- Or 10-12 years of Enterprise Networking
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with multiple of these networking brands: Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Meraki, Fortinet, Check Point or Palo Alto
- Ability to obtain and maintain industry-standard expert-level certifications such as below:
- Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Cisco CCIE [Enterprise or Security]
- Aruba ACSX/ACDX/ACMX/ACCX
- Fortinet NSE8
- Checkpoint CCSM
- Note: Extra consideration will be given to those who already hold an expert certification or have passed the written test for an expert certification and are studying for the practical examination
- Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Knowledge of MS Windows Server Platforms and Desktop Operating Systems
- Experience with device monitoring and logging tools (SEIM products, Wireshark)
- Experience developing and maintaining network documentation
- Experience with change management, product lifecycles, and customer service
- Ability to work on multiple, high complexity assignments simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for working in a team and with clients
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult and lead technology initiatives for Edafio clients in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity
- Design, install, configure, and support network technologies, including switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless access points.
- Work with various engineering teams within Edafio to scope, architect, and implement advanced business solutions to meet customer needs in critical environments.
- Report to team leads with work progress regularly as required
- Manage customer tickets and provide detailed documentation to required parties
- Mentor junior engineers
- Participate in Tier 3 on-call support rotation
- Some after-hours support will be intermittently required based on client maintenance window needs.
