The job entitles building chimneys with steel framing, restoring the inside of fireplaces and chimney with plastering skills and installing new fireplaces which will requires knowledge in gas plumbing and some electrical.
The skills needed:
Framing - wood and steel
Masonry, concrete, plastering inside and out, brick veneering, stone veneering and tiling.
Knowing masonry on how to lay bricks properly.
How to solve problems on site.
We are a well-established chimney and fireplace company looking for an experienced and dedicated Construction Technician to join our team at The Chimney Experts. We are expanding and need dedicated team members to continue the expansion with jobs located across Los Angeles. The owner has been in the Chimney/Fireplace Industry for over 30 years, working with Contractors, Designers, Architects, Real Estate Agents and Home Owners. Various skills are needed for full completion of the projects and we are currently looking for another team to help with the heavy demand of work being brought in through our sales and inspections team. Looking for individuals with experience in the construction trade, and a willingness to learn new aspects of construction. The average salary is $40,000 to 80,000 a year based on the knowledge and skill you have and the desire to expand in an already expanding company.
Preferred knowledge and experience in the following:
Wood Framing
Metal Framing
Stucco (All Types): Smooth, Spanish Lace, Waterproofing, House Wrapping Tile
Able to lay brick and block/ masonry and concrete a big plus
Basic knowledge of electrical
Basic roofing skills
Basic Gas Piping for residential
Requirements:
Be a leader/Hard worker
Good communication and customer relations
5 years experience in the construction industry
Reliable work truck or van (ladder rack is a plus) is a MUST!
Valid Driver's License
Excellent Driving Record
Have tools for the trade
Arrive on time and prepared at the job site every day
No fear of heights, being on roofs, or in small spaces
Full Time Position
Able to pass drug and background screening
Be willing to drive to different job locations to work throughout Los Angeles.
