We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Level Project Schedulerto support the JFK Airport Redevelopment Program (JFKR). The JFKR Program represents a historic initiative to revitalize and modernize the airport, transforming it into a world-class transportation hub for the 21st century. With ambitious plans for the building of new terminals, the expansion and modernization of existing facilities, and streamlined roadways, this program offers a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative project.
This is an in-person position based at the JFK Redevelopment office at JFK Airport.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leads efforts to develop and maintain sustainable enterprise level scheduling processes, procedures, and reports.
- Independently creates complex scheduling models. Prepares and analyzes master project/program schedules.
- Independently manages a database or “warehouse” of scheduling data recorded and tracked from each project.
- Leads client presentations as required.
- Leads the coordination with other project controls assets and skillsets.
- Provides schedule support for claims analysis (e.g., using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.).
- Analyzes contract documents/construction documents (plans and specifications) to translate scope of work, milestones, contract time, and/or construction phasing and sequencing into the schedule and develops strategies to protect the client.
- Leads the planning efforts in conjunction with various project managers, collaborates and makes recommendations to project management team in planning the work, including developing Work-Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating durations, sequencing the work (hard restraints and soft restraints), and identifying and maintaining project-to-project interdependencies.
- Leads schedule risk analysis workshops, including quantitative risk analysis.
- Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones, and significant changes to contractors’ schedules. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing to mitigate or avoid delays. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay.
- Leads detailed reviews of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress update.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business and 10 years relevant experience, or
- In lieu of education, 15 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent.
- Expert ability in preparing and/or reviewing project schedules using commercially available scheduling software.
- Thorough experience in 4 or more phases of project lifecycle (e.g., predesign, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases)
- Proof of developing, maintaining, and updating CPM schedules in an on-site field construction environment on large-scale programs in excess of $3B.
- Experience working as client's program manager agent (e.g., providing program management services), or as part of design-build contractor (or equivalent design and construction experience)
