Job Summary:
The Construction Safety Leader is responsible for the design, field implementation, communication and coordination of all health, safety, & environmental programs and management systems for the assigned projects. The position develops and provides technical and administrative direction on all project EHS related decisions, which bear critical importance to the overall company objectives, operations, and profitability.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, implement, and manage safety execution plans on assigned projects in accordance with 1910 and 1926 regulations, industry standards, and local policy and procedure.
- Work with the project team to ensure safety standards are present throughout job planning and execution ensuring trends are identified and corrected in a timely fashion.
- Provide written reports, to include tracking key performance indicators, and routine updates to Company Leadership
- Routinely review project safety plans to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing or develop new recommendations from the assessments.
- Demonstrated record of high performance with 5+ years of direct Industrial Construction Safety experience.
- 5+ years of practical experience as an EHS Manager and implementing EHS managed programs.
- Experience with U.S. regulations applicable for HSE.
- Knowledgeable of the respective industry recognized standards used in construction project inspections.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and influence other decision makers within the organization.
- Spend, at a minimum, 75% of time in the field providing coaching and mentoring of contractors and acting as a liaison for operations during safe work permitting.

- Must have good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, programs, and regulations.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments.
- Must be a self-starter. Relies on minimal guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job.
- Competent with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- 2-year degree in Safety or CHST or equivalent with 5 years of experience Construction Safety
- Ability to work in Hannibal, MO
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
